Kenco Label & Tag Co., LLC is serious about combating fraud. Because we can’t see you, we must verify that it is you or your delegate placing the order - each and every time. The more information we have, the better we are able to serve your needs efficiently.
When a current customer places an order, we:
- Verify the business name (Kenco® only sells to businesses),
- Verify the business address, phone number and contact information,
- Verify the shipping address and method,
- Verify that the payment method matches the information provided, and
- Verify the items ordered align with past ordering practices.
For instance, if a customer has always ordered 10 rolls each month, but is now ordering 500 rolls to be shipped overnight to another location 500 miles away, our Fraud Department will flag the order for further investigation/ verification.
When a new customer places an order, we:
- Will ask for a copy of the company’s W-9 and seller’s permit or tax exempt information to,
- Verify all of the same pieces of information as we do for current customers, and
- Verify that the items ordered are appropriate based on the information provided.
During this time, the order is placed on queue. You may receive a phone call or email from our Customer Service Team if we can’t verify this information. Kenco® makes every effort to review and approve all orders within 1 business day but there may be delays if Customer Service Team requests are not answered on a timely basis.
Once this information is received and verified, we will “release” the order to production or fulfillment - depending on the product(s) ordered.
Although this process may seem overly cautious, these steps are intended to ensure that our customers and Kenco® are protected from fraudsters and scam artists.
