Primera Technology, Inc.—headquartered in Plymouth, MN—has been developer and manufacturer of specialty color inkjet printers for over 45 years with a global reach in 222 countries. They are known for their LX Series Color Label Printers (available here at KencoLabel.com). Their current models are the LX500, LX910, and LX2000 Color Inkjet Printers, all with the ability to print on a stunning variety of labels and tags, including matte, semi- and high-gloss paper, polyester and polypropylene, and in any shape imaginable—rectangle, circle, oval, or special shape.

This LX series of printers is the latest in a long line of Primera Color Label Inkjet Printers. Kenco's partnership with Primera started with the LX200 back in 2008. The LX200 was the black-only (and lower-cost) version of the full-color LX400, which was later revised, becoming the PX450. Today, Kenco Label is proud to offer the latest (so far!) budget full-color inkjet label printer in the Primera line: Primera LX500 and LX500c (c for cutter).

Stepping up in both features and performance is the latest, fastest, and highest print quality color label printer developed by Primera, LX910. Primera's LX910 thermal inkjet is the latest in a long line of 8" color label and tag printers by Primera. This LX Series of inkjets started back in 2004 with the LX800 followed by the LX810 and later, the LX900. The LX 800 and LX810 offered the optional use for either dye-based or a pigmented black ink carts. The current, fastest and more advanced Primera LX910 continues with this Dual Ink System, which offers the ability to print with dye-based ink for colorful and vibrant looking labels and, by swapping out the all-in-one ink cartridge, print with pigment ink for the more durable inkjet labels.

The head of the flagship line of Color Inkjets by Primera belongs to the LX2000. LX2000 represents an entirely new product class in desktop label printing. Built like a tank with print speeds up to 6" per second (in Draft Mode), LX2000 uses pigmented inks, offering high durability and resistance against UV light and water. Before the LX2000, there was the LX1000. Both LX1000 and LX2000 are BS5609 Section-3 Certified for producing GHS labels and boast a built-in pizza-wheel label cutter.

Kenco Label and Primera Technology also offer turn-key label application solutions with the AP Series of label applicators, the AP360 and the AP362. Primera's AP360 and AP362 Label Applicators are the perfect semi-automatic labeling solution for cylindrical containers as well as many tapered containers, including bottles, cans, jars and tubes. For flat surfaces, the AP550 Label Applicator is ideal for rectangular or tapered bottles, boxes, packages, bags, pouches, lids, tins and more.
